Skor Bar Squares

layered with a shortbread crust, gooey sweetened condensed milk, and chocolate, topped with crunchy skor bits.
Skor Bar Squares Recipe (Yields 24 squares)

Ingredients:
3/4 cup + 2 Tbsp. butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1-1/2 cups flour
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 Tbsp. butter
1 pkg semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
1 pkg (or 1 cup) Skor bits

​Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350F.

In a large bowl, cream together 3/4 c. butter, brown sugar and flour. I find this easier with my stand mixer but it can be done by hand.

Press the above mixture into a 9x13" baking pan.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown (do not over bake).

Heat the sweetened condensed milk and 2 Tbsp. butter over medium heat until thickened (stirring constantly).

Once the base layer is cooked, pour the the thickened milk on top and spread evenly.

Bake until the milk is bubbly and golden brown on top.

Once done, sprinkle 1 bag of chocolate chips over the top and bake for 3-4 mins. Spread the chocolate evenly once melted (milk chocolate chips are harder to spread than semi-sweet chips if over-heated)

Once spread, press 1 bag of Skor bits into the chocolate.

Cool in pan.

Cut into bars. Enjoy!
